Iran warns Saudi Arabia and Pakistan

In a recent threat against Saudi Arabia, Iranian Defense Minister said Iran will hit back at most of Saudi Arabia except for Islam’s holiest places if the kingdom does anything “ignorant”, reported Reuters. This was after a Saudi prince threatened to move the “battle” to Iran.
“If the Saudis do anything ignorant, we will leave no area untouched except Makkah and Medina,” Iranian Defense Minister said.
Dehghan, speaking to Al-Manar TV, commented on Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s remarks on Tuesday, who said any contest for influence between the Sunni Muslim kingdom and the revolutionary Shi’ite theocracy should take place “inside Iran, not in Saudi Arabia.”
Prince Mohammed discarded the idea of any dialogue with Iran and promised to protect his kingdom from Tehran’s efforts to control the Muslim world. “We know that we are a main goal for the Iranian regime,” he added, “We will not wait until the battle comes to Saudi Arabia, but we will work to have the battle in Iran rather than in Saudi Arabia.”
Following Dehghan’s warning to Saudi Arabia, Major General Mohammad Baqeri, the head of the Iranian armed forces, threatened Pakistan with military actions against the Sunni militant group in that country.
Major General Mohammad Baqeri also warned Islamabad on Monday that Tehran would hit bases inside Pakistan if the government does not confront Sunni militants who carry out cross-border attacks, according to Reuters.
